Written by David Lundgren, CFA® | May 10, 2018 3:02:00 PM
Welcome to the Markets and Economic Update, provided monthly by the Investments team as an informational resource for clients and individuals who are interested in hearing our perspectives on current economic issues.

The positives for the economy continue to outweigh the negatives in 2018. Even though the first quarter GDP was 2.3%, the economy grew at a solid 2.9% year over year.

  • David Lundgren discusses the U.S. economy, where we are today, and where we hope to be in the upcoming quarter.
  • Richard Chauvin continues the economic discussion by focusing on economic growth outside the U.S.
  • Jeff Tanguis gives an update on the Federal Reserve and the bond market.
  • Gregory Hodlewsky wraps up the call with an update on the stock market.
