BEAUMONT, Texas (November 1, 2022)—Hancock Whitney recently honored 66 Southeast Texas nonprofit organizations and presented grants totaling approximately $1.1 million on behalf of six prominent Beaumont area foundations at the annual “Harvest of Giving” awards ceremony.
Presented on behalf of the Helen G. Bell Charitable Trust, H.E. & Kate Dishman Charitable Foundation Trust, Eva Dujay Foundation–Mary Harold Medical Trust, H.H. & Edna Houseman Charitable Trust, Roy & M. Permenter Charitable Foundation, and B.A. & Elinor Steinhagen Benevolent Trust, the grants support organizations committed to enhancing arts, community services, education, health, and social welfare.
Each year Southeast Texas nonprofits are invited to participate in a unified grant application process for funds available from six private foundations. Hancock Whitney Trust and Asset Management serves as trustee of these foundations.
“Over the past 40 years nearly 1,800 grants totaling over $36 million have been awarded to deserving nonprofits,” said Hancock Whitney Beaumont Market President Bill Darling. “Harvest of Giving spotlights the organizations making a daily impact on local people and communities while recognizing the charitable endeavors of the private foundations that make the nonprofits’ work possible.
