Appointments advance relationship-driven growth and deepen support for privately owned businesses

DALLAS - May 20, 2026 -- Hancock Whitney Bank has announced several commercial banking leadership promotions as part of its continued growth strategy across Texas and Louisiana, reinforcing its commitment to serving privately owned businesses and the owners who lead them.

Chris Mosteller has been named Senior Regional President of Commercial Banking for Texas and Louisiana; Larry Stephens has been appointed Texas Regional President; John Riquelme has been promoted to Central Texas Market President; and Will Pyle has been named Dallas Market President.

Mosteller will oversee all Texas and Louisiana regions and markets. He brings more than 20 years of financial industry experience and joined Hancock Whitney in 2019, serving most recently as Regional President for the North Texas Region. Mosteller has a strong record of leadership, talent development, sales management, and advancing market growth, including five new financial centers that have opened or are under construction in North Texas.

“I’m honored to step into this role at a time we’re accelerating our growth across Texas and reinforcing our commitment to Louisiana,” Mosteller said. “Our focus is simple, to be the best bank for privately owned businesses. I’m excited to support our teams as we continue delivering on that vision.”

Stephens has been named Texas Regional President with oversight of Hancock Whitney’s commercial banking operations statewide. He has more than 28 years of banking experience and has served with Hancock Whitney for the past 12 years in progressively senior leadership roles across the bank’s Texas markets.

“Our opportunity in Texas is significant, and our strategy is clear, build strong, long-term relationships with business owners and deliver the expertise they need to grow,” Stephens said. “We’re committed to being the bank businesses trust most and I look forward to continue building a team to grow across our markets.”

Riquelme has been promoted to Market President for the Central Texas market, which now includes both the Austin and San Antonio metro areas. He has 28 years of banking experience, serving the last four with Hancock Whitney Bank. In his expanded role, he will lead commercial banking efforts across one of Hancock Whitney’s fastest‑growing regions.

“Central Texas continues to attract strong, growing businesses,” Riquelme said. “Our focus is on supporting those companies with experienced local leadership and a relationship-based approach that helps owners navigate growth with confidence.”

Pyle has been promoted to Dallas Market President. He has more than 20 years of industry experience and has served with Hancock Whitney for almost seven years as a senior vice president in commercial banking.

“Dallas is one of the most dynamic and fastest‑growing regions we serve,” Pyle said. “We’ve recently opened new financial centers in Dallas, Plano and Little Elm, and additional locations are under construction. These investments ensure business owners have local access to bankers who understand their market and can respond quickly as their needs evolve.”

“These promotions are about aligning our leadership with where we’re going as a bank,” said Eric Obeck, Chief Commercial Banking Officer. “We are building a team singularly focused on serving privately owned businesses better than anyone else. Chris, Larry, John, and Will are leaders who understand that success comes from strong relationships, local decision-making, and delivering meaningful results for our clients.”

These leadership appointments underscore Hancock Whitney’s continued investment in Texas, and its strategy to grow alongside the region’s business community. By developing talent from within, the bank is strengthening its ability to serve privately owned businesses with local expertise, consistent leadership, and a relationship-driven approach designed to grow alongside business owners for the long term.
