Hancock Whitney is honored to introduce the Central Texas area to our century-old commitment to service. The team consists of bankers who are Texas natives and collectively bring nearly 50 years of industry experience.

2HancockWhitneyBMarket President John Riquelme has over 24 years of experience in the Corporate & Commercial banking industry. He has focused on providing middle market and mid-corporate companies with various solutions. He has extensive credit and lending experience and has served as a Credit and Corporate Finance Analyst, Credit Underwriter, Commercial & Corporate Banker, and has experience with syndications of mid-corporate companies. He has worked with business owners on their retirement and estate planning needs with wealth management partners.

Riquelme has been involved with several organizations in the San Antonio area over the years including Leadership San Antonio, City Year, San Antonio Economic Development Foundation, Downtown Rotary,and San Antonio Food Bank.

Riquelme graduated from St. Edwards University, in Austin, TX with a degree in Finance and Management. He received the University’s highest honor of being a Presidential Award Recipient. He is a graduate of Stonier Graduate Banking School at the University of Pennsylvania where he received a Wharton Leadership Certificate. He also completed the ABA Advanced Commercial Lending School at Southwest Graduate School of Banking.

 

Larry Anthis_2022(2)Senior Vice President, Middle Market Banker Larry Anthis has over 20 years of relationship banking experience in the Dallas and San Antonio areas. He has focused on providing various solutions for middle market companies involving capital, equipment, commercial and investment real estate. He has expertise in creating mutually beneficial relationships with clients to connect with right services and products.

Anthis graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.

Anthis has been involved with several organizations in the San Antonio area over the years including the Past Chair of the North San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, President of the Association for Corporate Growth Central Texas, and San Antonio Economic Development Foundation.
