Last month our region celebrated the start of fall with changing leaves, kids in costumes and finally, some cooler weather. During October our team at Hancock Whitney also celebrated an important milestone in our history, our founding.

The influential men and women we honor as founders set forth our mission, purpose and core values at the turn of the 20th century. Today, we carry on their vision of our organization as a strong, reliable financial and community partner dedicated to helping people achieve their financial goals and dreams. Our lifelong-learning approach to financial education reinforces that commitment. Hancock Whitney Founders Month celebrated each October offers a special time for our team to focus on teaching people what they need to know to make the most of their hard-earned dollars.

Every day we lead clients through financial choices that help create opportunities and foster success, whether that means purchasing a home, saving for college or growing a business. During Hancock Whitney Founders Month, we share what we know to help people of all ages throughout our communities manage, grow, and protect their money. Throughout October our teams shared their expertise with churches, civic clubs, nonprofits, K-12 schools and colleges, recovery and rehabilitation agencies, and organizations fostering community development in low-to-moderate income neighborhoods.

We know that financial education is important year-round which is why we aim to empower individuals to take charge of their own financial futures through Hancock Whitney Financial Cents for Adults. This free online, self-paced financial education program enables adults to complete financial lessons at home or on-the-go. With engaging and interactive lesson plans, the curriculum addresses common financial goals and challenges with topics such as building emergency savings, home buying education, and retirement planning.
