For nearly a decade, Hancock Whitney has supported InclusivCare as their primary banking partner, helping finance expansions for the patient-driven community health system to ensure medically underserved residents across Greater New Orleans have access to quality and affordable health, dental and pharmacy services. When InclusivCare CEO, Dr. Shondra Williams, took on the system’s next venture, an early childcare facility to ensure quality childcare for InclusivCare staff and community members, Hancock Whitney was once again ready to support.

The opportunity provided a seamless fit with Hancock Whitney’s ongoing Banking By Building initiative, an effort to strengthen the communities we serve by building safe places for kids to learn and play. See how nearly 100 volunteers came together to construct a new play area for the students of Little Ivy Prep at InclusivCare and strengthened a partnership between like-minded organizations aiming to build a stronger community.

Playground planning began in July 2023 with design sessions including both local children and adults who shared their input and discussed goals for the space. Consistent with Hancock Whitney’s goal of introducing financial education concepts to children, attendees participated in a budgeting experience on Design Day, challenging students to “build” a playground while staying within budget. Hancock Whitney also announced that as part of their long-standing relationship with InclusivCare, they will provide ongoing financial education opportunities for community individuals, families and small business owners.

“We are ecstatic to have the addition of a play space for Little Ivy Prep at InclusivCare,” said Dr. Shondra Williams, President & CEO of InclusivCare. “Our longstanding partnership with Hancock Whitney is a testament to what can be achieved when like-minded partners come together. Not only have we been able to expand medical services to under-served residents through their support, now our children have this wonderful play area that ensures their physical, well-being.”
