Our story began with two Gulf South banking organizations founded in the late 1800s and sharing a common culture and commitment to people and communities. The first financial transaction between the two banks took place on May 25, 1918, followed by a pledge during the Great Depression to keep each other strong and, above all else, protect depositors.
Now, 100 years later, we’re excited to debut a new, unified name that honors the history and ideals that brought us together:

We’ll soon introduce our combined name throughout our entire service area, along with a new look that conveys our vision for delivering our mission to be the 21st century financial partner you need to make your financial dreams come true.
You won’t have to do anything differently
Simply continue to do business as usual with your local bankers. Under the Hancock Whitney brand, your accounts with us remain the same – the same account numbers, checks, credit or debit cards, online and mobile login credentials, fees, and all governing terms and conditions.
Soon we’ll start replacing signs at every financial center. Starting in May, you’ll see the new Hancock Whitney logo on signs as well as our mobile app, online banking, and website. While our updated logo and signs will reflect our unified name, the same bankers you know and trust will continue to deliver the friendly and professional service you’ve come to expect.
