Sharing the season of light

Christmas is here!

Sharing the season of light

One of my favorite parts of the holiday season is the sudden appearance of lights everywhere, glimmering all around us. Outside, Christmas lights cast magical auras on lawns, along streets, in parks, and at local landmarks. Inside, twinkling trees, glowing fireplaces (holiday must-haves even in milder Gulf South weather), and sparkling hospitality create warm, welcoming cheer for family, friends, and colleagues.

Collectively, these lights illuminate a remarkable time of year when we respect, remember, and reach out to loved ones and strangers alike with the faith, hope, caring, and peace this season of light represents.

At our company, associates tend a year-round light—the core values we’ve shared with people and the communities we serve for more than 100 years. These principles come together to create a powerful beacon that guides and inspires us to go beyond, give more, and always strive to be better in how we serve our clients and communities.

This Christmas, I hope you’ll hold close the people you care about most. All around us are people who may have a lonely or difficult holiday. With just a little extra effort, you could turn a sad, somber occurrence into a time of encouragement. Brighten the day for someone alone, ill, or in despair simply by being there. Give the precious gifts of a smile, a hug, or a helping hand. Let those serving our Nation and their families know our pride and thanks for their service and sacrifice to keep Liberty’s torch ablaze.

I believe you’ll find there are no better Christmas presents to get than the smiles and appreciation of those who receive kind gestures.

Whether sunny, rainy, hot, or cold, these December days are radiant. They spotlight our gratitude for the shareholders, clients, and communities whose trust and confidence have allowed us to grow and shine together and the countless associates across the years who have kept and continue to keep our light strong and bright.

From our financial services family to you and yours, we wish you a Merry Christmas and hope the magnificent spirit of this season lights your holidays with priceless moments and treasured memories.
