It’s been said that home ownership is the American Dream, but for many families and individuals, owning a home may seem like a dream that’s beyond their reach. These prospective home owners may be unaware that there are programs available to help them. I’m dedicated to connecting people to these resources and that’s why, after over 18 years in single-family community lending and workforce housing, I’ve joined Hancock and Whitney Bank as Vice President of Community Lending.

A passion for people and the places they call home

Throughout my career in housing, I've seen first-hand the positive impact that home ownership can have on neighborhoods and communities across the country. It’s my genuine desire to see people achieve financial literacy and both attain and retain the dream of home ownership. I'm dedicated to education and outreach initiatives that teach borrowers about credit and encourage the habit of saving money towards a larger goal, and the creation of mortgage products that meet the needs of low and moderate income households. As a New Orleans native, I’m thrilled to bring my knowledge and experience to Hancock and Whitney Bank.

Building communities

Bankers provide the capital that people need to grow, prosper and succeed. It's been proven that when people succeed, communities thrive. Community Lenders contribute to community development by helping people who desire to become home owners gain access to credit. We work with a network of HUD-approved housing counseling agencies to prepare potential homebuyers for the mortgage lending and home buying process. Perhaps a client needs guidance to repair their credit history, or help with a plan to start saving money toward their financial goals. “Plan Your Way Home” perfectly describes what we do to help clients reach their home ownership goals: we help those who are ready to take the first steps toward buying a home, and we also help those who need a little more time to plan for the future.

Commitment to Service

It’s especially gratifying for me to be a part of Hancock and Whitney Bank because doing the right thing in service to our communities is ingrained in our company’s strong history and culture. Commitment to Service is one of our core values, and our corporate mission is to help people achieve their financial goals and dreams. The Community Lending team is passionate about helping communities succeed. We understand the struggles that many people face, and we’re here to help guide them toward the path of financial stability, and build a quality of life they will enjoy.
