Richard Chauvin kicks off the call with a discussion of the prospects for a trade deal with China given the recent escalation in tariffs and non-tariff trade barriers; the possible reasons for the recent threat of tariffs by the U.S. against Mexico; and how these issues may impact each other. 

Paul Teten details slowing global growth and the how the U.S. continues to stand out as the most steadily growing major economy. 

Trade tensions have created a sloppy market, increased volatility, and an overall pause and pullback from the start of 2019. Austin Zaunbrecher details the month of May and where we go from here.

High quality bonds experienced strong performance in the month of May thanks to heavy demand from investors seeking a refuge from the stock market volatility. Jeff Tanguis talks about the sharp decline in interest rates and what action the Fed may take if trade tensions begin to weigh on economic growth.
