NACHA is expanding access to the Same Day ACH (Automated Clearing House) submission window by two hours each day for same day debit and credit transactions. NACHA is the agency that governs the ACH Network, the payment system that drives Direct Deposits and Direct Payments.
According to digitaltransactions.net, “The later window for same-day settlement will affect a wide range of transactions. The ACH Network, which reaches nearly every financial institution in the country, commonly handles payroll and business payments as well as business-to-business and peer-to-peer transfers.”
At Hancock Whitney, the cutoff time will change to 2:00 PM CT for Same Day ACH transactions starting Monday, March 22, 2021. You can learn more about the expanded Same Day ACH processing window here.
