Hancock Whitney - one of America's strongest and safest banks has been recognized by Forbes as one of “America’s Best Banks” for 2023. In its annual review of the largest publicly traded banks and thrifts, Forbes ranked Hancock Whitney 17th among a nationwide group of 100 leading banks. It’s the second consecutive year Hancock Whitney has earned this recognition from Forbes.

To compile the rankings, Forbes used data collected by S&P Global Market Intelligence through the third quarter of 2022, and ranked banks based on their growth, credit quality and profitability. The nine metrics considered were: non-performing assets as a percentage of total assets; reserves as a percentage of non-performing assets; CET1 ratio, which compares a bank's capital against its risk-weighted assets; risk-based capital ratio; return on average tangible common equity; return on average assets; net interest margin; operating revenue growth; and net charge-offs as a percentage of total loans.
