Hybrid Workshop

Financial Education for Small Business with The Institute for Enhanced Equity

Wednesday, August 26 at 1:00pm CST/2:00pm EST

Participants will learn the basics of financial education needed to qualify for and manage capital funds, including managing cash flow, tax planning and reporting, and the importance of credit.

Participants will also learn how to determine what financial institutions and products best meet their needs and discuss the differences between financial institutions and products.

Portions of this session will be delivered in collaboration with our financial institution partners at Hancock Whitney Bank and accounting subject matter experts.

Hybrid Workshop

Procurement Fundamentals for Small Business with The Institute for Enhanced Equity

Wednesday, September 16 at 1:00pm CST/2:00pm EST

Participants will receive information on local, state and federal procurement processes, receive training on how to apply for procurement opportunities (including documents needed), and learn about upcoming procurement opportunities relevant to their industries.

The implementation of corporate social governance, environmental social responsibility, disadvantaged business enterprise and small business programs has elevated the use of historically disenfranchised businesses.

Portions of this session will be delivered in collaboration with our supplier diversity and procurement consultants.

Hybrid Workshop

Taking Advantage of the State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI) with The Institute for Enhanced Equity

Wednesday, October 7 at 1:00pm CST/2:00pm EST

Participants will receive detailed information on the SSBCI-supported programs in Louisiana, as well as other government programs that support small businesses.

Participants will also learn the basics of common reporting requirements and receive specific training on preparing common sections of SSBCI applications. The session will be coordinated with SSBCI Louisiana-based staff and financial agencies participating whenever possible.
