Giving and Volunteering
From classroom presentations and teacher grants, to charity walks and housing projects, our corporate giving and volunteerism programs are a critical part of who we are.
Donations
Each year we give financial support by way of donations and grants to critical services and innovative programs delivered through not-for-profit agencies, schools, universities, and service organizations in our market.
Although there are more deserving charitable organizations in our communities we are able to support, our charitable giving program makes every effort to assist as many as possible. We receive hundreds of requests each year for donations. And we are happy to consider all requests that qualify under our giving guidelines.
Associate Giving
Each year Hancock Whitney leads a United Way Pacesetter campaign, providing associates the opportunity to donate. United Way focuses on health, education, and income in our hometowns. The money we give to United Way stays local, investing in building a better quality of life for needy and at-risk people. In 2018, associates donated nearly $250,000 to their local United Way organizations.
Competitive Grants
Through a partnership with the Greater New Orleans Foundation, Hancock Whitney’s grant opportunities help non-profits focused on economic development, revitalization or stabilization, community services and affordable housing strengthen their impact.
Volunteerism
Community Connection, our associate volunteer program, offers our team members one paid day each year to volunteer in their communities. Well beyond the work week, associates also give back generously and passionately on their own time to countless non-profit agencies, community initiatives, and organizations sharing our core values. At work and when they volunteer, associates help people achieve their goals and dreams.
Financial Education
A strong understanding of financial basics and money and credit management can not only improve individuals’ financial health but can be the difference in achieving financial goals and falling short.
