NEW ORLEANS (March 6, 2024) — Hancock Whitney associates Jeanne Goedecke and Tamara Wyre have received recognition as a Top Women Leader in Louisiana for 2024, according to a list published recently by Women We Admire.

A Hancock Whitney vice president and loan syndications associate, Jeanne Goedecke has been in finance for more than 12 years, most recently as a leader with the company’s loan syndication department. Her business segment provides debt capital to financially sound businesses in the form of multi-bank commercial loans over $25 million.

 

Goedecke graduated from the A. B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University with a major in finance and earned her Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) credential in April 2023.

 

Goedecke serves on various community committees, including the Junior League of New Orleans, Safe Sitter, and the CFA Society of Louisiana.

Wyre’s innovative approach to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace has made her a thought leader in the industry. With more than 25 years of experience in wealth and asset management, she has a strong record of creating equity strategies that mirror the belief systems of those who own them. Wyre joined Hancock Whitney in 2018 as Director and Senior Portfolio Manager, spearheading the company’s first socially responsible investment strategy called the SRI-Diversity Leaders Investment Equity Strategy, which invests in companies that demonstrate inclusive practices around gender and equality.

 

She actively serves on multiple boards and committees and has helped introduce young women to careers in finance and banking through involvement with Rock the Street Wall Street and Dress for Success. She has received numerous awards, including the 2022 Woman of Achievement Corporate Award from Lighthouse Business and Professional Women and "Top Women in Asset Management" recognition by Money Management Executives.

 

Wyre earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Hampton University College, a Master of Business Administration from Tulane University, a Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA ®) Certification from the University of California, Berkeley, SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification, and a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from the University of South Florida.
