Contributions Will Help United Way Organizations Serve Communities Across the West Florida Panhandle and the Emerald Coast

PENSACOLA, Fla. (October 13, 2026) – Hancock Whitney is contributing $100,000 to help communities across the West Florida panhandle and the Emerald Coast recover from the impacts of Hurricane Isaias. The donation will be shared equally between United Way of West Florida and United Way Emerald Coast to support response and recovery efforts in areas affected by the storm.

As communities assess damage and begin rebuilding, the two United Way organizations are working with local nonprofit and community partners to connect individuals and families with essential resources and assistance. Hancock Whitney's contributions will help address immediate needs while supporting ongoing recovery efforts in the weeks and months ahead.

"Storms like Hurricane Isaias create challenges that can continue long after the wind and rain have passed," said Hancock Whitney Pensacola Market President Bruce Vredenburg. "As our neighbors begin the recovery process, we hope this investment helps provide resources, relief, and stability for the people and communities affected.”

United Way of West Florida and United Way Emerald Coast are coordinating with local agencies and community partners to identify and address the most pressing needs across impacted communities.

"Recovery is not a single moment but a process that unfolds over time," said United Way of West Florida President & CEO Laura Gilliam. "Support from partners like Hancock Whitney strengthens our ability to work alongside local organizations, respond to community needs, and help families access critical resources as they move forward. We're grateful for their commitment to our region."

"When communities face challenges, collaboration becomes more important than ever," echoed United Way Emerald Coast President & CEO Kelly Jasen. "This contribution helps ensure support reaches the individuals and families who need it most while strengthening recovery efforts across our region."

“We're proud to partner with organizations that are making a meaningful difference throughout our region,” said Hancock Whitney Emerald Coast Market President Ben Lee. “As a bank, we have a responsibility to invest in the communities we serve, and supporting United Way’s recovery efforts is one important way we can help our community come back stronger.”

For generations, Hancock Whitney has supported the communities it serves through disaster response, volunteer efforts, and community investments. Through partnerships with trusted local organizations, the bank remains committed to helping neighbors recover, and rebuild following times of crisis.
