Hancock Whitney Presents Over $1.7 Million in Grants from Six Local Foundations to Nonprofits Making a Difference in Southeast Texas

BEAUMONT, Texas (October 24, 2024)—

Hancock Whitney recently honored 61 Southeast Texas nonprofit organizations and presented grants totaling $1.76 million on behalf of six local area foundations at the annual Harvest of Giving awards ceremony at the Jefferson Theatre in downtown Beaumont, Texas.

Presented on behalf of six prominent Beaumont area foundations, this year’s grant funding will serve Southeast Texans through programming focused on health, education, social welfare, art and community services.

Each year Southeast Texas nonprofits are invited to participate in a unified grant application process for funds available from six private foundations— the Helen G. Bell Charitable Trust, H.E. & Kate Dishman Charitable Foundation Trust, Eva Dujay Foundation–Mary Harold Medical Trust, H.H. & Edna Houseman Charitable Trust, Roy & M. Permenter Charitable Foundation, and B.A. & Elinor Steinhagen Benevolent Trust.

Hancock Whitney Trust and Asset Management serves as trustee of these foundations.

“Since 1980, more than $40 million in grants have been awarded to deserving nonprofits,” said Hancock Whitney Beaumont Market President Bill Darling. “Harvest of Giving spotlights the organizations making a daily impact on local people and communities while recognizing the charitable endeavors of the private foundations that make the nonprofits’ work possible. Hancock Whitney is honored to be part of this effort to create more opportunities and stronger quality of life for Southeast Texas.”
